I volunteer as a mentor for the Lakota Cyber Academy, a high school program in Ohio that introduces students to cybersecurity. These pages are the advice I keep repeating in those sessions, written down for any high schooler or early college student who thinks they might want a career in security or software. It is one person’s opinion, based on my own path. Read other people’s advice too and keep what is useful for your goals.
